Fall Looks I Love

A little grey mohair coat would be easy to wear day-to-day.
These JBrand skinnys are the perfect wash to take a look from daytime to night.
I love how effortlessly cool Blake looks in this pic from the Sept issue of Lucky.  The pants are from White/House Black Market for only $70 and there are tons of look a like black pumps and cream chunky sweaters at labels like Zara and Mango where you can easily recreate this look for fall!
Stole this from Asos.com but I absolutely loved her headband/hairstyle. Totally doing this on a rainy or frizzy hair day.

I've been eyeing these Shutz heels for about a month now, but unfortunately their a little out of my internship price range.  A girl can dream?
I'm pretty into the leather pieces this season and this French Connection version is chic enough that I wouldn't feel like a wannabe motorcyclist. Love the raised shoulders!

The Fryes

Saw these Frye boots on a musician on the subway the other morning on my way to work and HAD to have them. I'll be saving up for a while but they will be worth it!

Louis Vuitton Fall '13

I absolutely HAD to do a post about Marc Jacob's latest stroke of genius, that being his Fall 2013 RTW collection.  I was so blown away by the breathtaking ombre/faded effect at the ends of all the coats and dresses!  The runway was a truly original concept and it was so evident that his clothes were inspired by old movies and actresses, both American and French.  Everything down to the black bobs and mauve lips to the silky nightgowns and plaid coats provided an element of old glamour.  It was a tad triste, non?  Nonetheless, Marc pulled it off.

Fashion Week 2013 Fall/Winter Finds!

Even though I can't be in NYC physically, I have been living vicariously thru Style.com to check in everyday on what creations are coming down the runways this season.  I wanted to spotlight a few of my top picks who truly inspired me and remind me why I want to work in this industry.  There is nothing like the thrill of experiencing a brilliant collection that you can see not only yourself, but so many other people waring on a daily basis!

1) Prabal Gurung: I was in absolute awe of the contrasting leathers and silks that created a modestly sexy vibe.  The military influence is plain, but his spin on it is so fierce and modern!

2) Victoria Beckham:  Beckham masters the art of dressing the powerful business woman with her use of broad shoulders and slitted pencil skirts.  Her coats are artfully tailored and feature bold cobalts and sunny yellows to maintain a youthful feeling.

3) Jason Wu:  Jason's collection was enough for me to wish it was next winter already!  He showcases the beauty of head-to-toe black and white combinations in furs and flirtatious skirts.  Slicked back hair reflects intensely against the black fur-lined sleeves and keeps the focus on the grey snakeskin prints.

Prabal Gurung for Target

Here are some of my favorite looks from the Prabal Gurung for Target lookbook!

I am obsessed with bow details right now!  Black and white is classic and so chic, graduation dress maybe? ;)

The vibrant springy coral and blue color combo totally works for this youthful ensemble.  The black bow belt adds a touch of sophistication that would make this dress ideal for a night out with the girls!

The geometric slices of this dress are flattering and make the otherwise basic structure more interesting to look at.  I may have to order this one, especially because blue is my best color!

Black and white are so fresh right now while red will add a fresh pop to any outfit! Plus I love the modern feel of the shape and they even look comfortable!

Some more colorful looks that are perfect for any college girl

Another option for my graduation dress, hopefully it won't sell out too quickly!
